The 38-year-old woman who plummeted off the edge of a terminal deck at the Indianapolis airport over the weekend died by suicide, authorities said.
Ashley Michelle Kidd fell 50 feet from the outside edge of the Upper Terminal Drive at the Indianapolis International Airport around 12:15 p.m. Saturday.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office on Monday classified Kidd’s death as a suicide.

Her cause of death was listed as “Blunt Force of the Trunk and Extremities,” meaning she suffered extensive non-penetrating injuries to every part of her body except her head.
Dispatchers monitoring the airport’s security cameras witnessed Kidd’s fatal fall and first responders’ valiant attempts to save her life.
It’s still unclear how Kidd reached the outer edge of the deck.
The Post reached out to the Indianapolis International Airport for comment.
