Mr. Olympia judge pens heartbreaking post after accidentally backing over and killing son, 6, with Cybertruck

A Mr. Olympia judge has shared a heartbreaking tribute after accidentally backing over and killing his six-year-old son with his Tesla Cybertruck outside their California home.

Terrick El Guindy posted an Instagram Story showing him embracing Preston with the words: “We are one. We will always be one. We will be together forever. Preston and Terrick.”

El Guindy, 48, struck his son shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday outside their Temecula home. Preston was rushed to Inland Valley Medical Center but died from his injuries that night.

The California Highway Patrol said El Guindy was questioned but not arrested and the Cybertruck was not operating in Autopilot mode.

Preston had started first grade last month and was remembered by a family friend as a boy who was “always with a smile on his face.”

Family friend Stefanie Chesbro said Preston had been playing outside in his neighborhood when he was accidentally struck by the vehicle.

“His injuries were too great and Preston tragically passed away at the hospital with Mom by his side,” Chesbro wrote in a GoFundMe set up for the grieving family.

“His parents and sister, Scarlett, are left with the insurmountable tragedy that is losing their son and brother.”

It remains unclear whether any dashboard alerts warned El Guindy that his son was behind the Cybertruck before the collision.

“The CHP extends its condolences to the family and all those affected by this tragic loss,” a spokesperson said

El Guindy is a longtime figure in professional bodybuilding, working as a judge for the world-famous Mr. Olympia competition.

He also hosts Prime Time Muscle and Olympia TV, where he discusses the sport and its biggest competitors.
