A New Jersey home near our Founding Father’s Revolutionary War headquarters is on the market for exactly $1.776 million.
The not-so-humble Totowa adobe was intentionally priced that way in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
“It’s quite a connection,” Joe Charles, of Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, told NJ Advance Media.
The sprawling 4,603-square-foot residence sits on close to an acre in Dey Hill, about two miles from where Washington quartered for a few months in 1780 during the American Revolution — Dey Mansion in Wayne, NJ, which is now a museum.
“The location is one of the most special parts about this home,” Charles added.
“You can walk out the front door and no one can see you.”
Built in 2004 for its current owners, the property, whose address is 4 Centennial Court, boasts four bedrooms and four bathrooms and hit the market on June 26.
