Penthouse Pet is caught breaking the law again — but soft judge lets her off

The Penthouse Pet accused of stealing from wealthy older men through dating apps has been busted twice for violating the terms of her court ordered monitoring — including crossing county lines — but dodged jail Tuesday after a Los Angeles judge opted to give her yet another warning.

Lavie, who is engaged to billionaire businessman Stephen Cloobeck and accused of several felonies for robbing men she met online, made a dramatic court appearance where prosecutors revealed she had contacted a witness in the case and crossed into Ventura County, both violations of a court order keeping her out of lockup while on bail.

Prosecutors faced Lavie, who attended court dressed from head to toe in white, and explained she had crossed into Ventura on May 23 for 39 minutes to eat at the famed Pacific Coast Highway restaurant Neptune’s Net.

The violation was detected by her ankle monitor, which Lavie has repeatedly tried to have removed during various court proceedings.

When the Penthouse Pet last appeared in court in May, Judge Diego Edber delivered a blunt warning: Leave LA County again and she would be thrown behind bars.

The warning came after the judge learned Lavie was carrying an Israeli passport — another alleged violation of her court-ordered restrictions.

Her high-profile attorney Jeremy Lessem argued the violation was a misunderstanding, saying Lavie believed the restaurant was in Malibu because that’s how it is advertised online.

“When she looked up Malibu it’s listed in LA County,” he said.

Deputy District Attorney Arin Friedman reminded Judge Edber of his previous warning and asked for the model to be remanded and bail set at $1 million. She went on to say that Lavie had also contacted one of the victims in the case via text in an attempt to “manipulate” him.

Friedman claimed the texts sent from Lavie to the victim were designed to gain sympathy. The attorney said one text message read, “I’m trying to get mental healing and you want me to get punished.”

Lavie appeared extremely agitated and her attorneys had trouble controlling her at times. At one point her lawyer Jeff Rubenstein told her to “shush.” She conferred with a court-appointed Hebrew interpreter even though he said she spoke “fluent English.”

When it came time to rule, the judge spared her time behind bars, and once again issued only a warning in front of the stunned gallery.

“Ms. Lavie, listen very carefully,” he started, telling her that next time she left the county for any reason, she’d be locked up with “no bail.”

Judge Edber also changed the language of the order saying Lavie was not to “associate” with witnesses to say she’ll have “no contact” with witnesses. After his ruling Lavie was seen hugging her entourage as she left the courtroom.

It was also revealed in court that the defense has filed a motion asking for diversion for Lavie, which the prosecution says they will answer. A hearing on the matter has been scheduled for August 10.

The alleged honey trapper is charged with six felonies, including two counts of grand theft, two counts of burglary, and two counts of unauthorized use of personal identifying information. She allegedly met multiple older men on dating apps and then stole from their homes.

Lavie, who finalized her divorce with her porn star husband in March, got engaged to billionaire Stephen Cloobeck in February. They were scheduled to get married on June 18 in Israel, but the date was moved.  When asked outside the court by The California Post about the status of the wedding, Lavie only responded with, “This is stressing me out.”

Cloobeck, a big Eric Swalwell donor before the disgraced congressman resigned, was arrested in May and booked on felony charges related to witness tampering in Lavie’s case. He was allegedly dissuading a witness or victim from attending or testifying at a trial.

The once camera-friendly model ran away from photographers last time she was at court, but chose to walk slowly in and out of the building this time.
