Person stabbed to death and another injured in 6am slashing in LA, three suspects on the loose

One person has been killed and another injured after a double stabbing rocked Los Angeles early Thursday morning.

Police told The California Post they are looking for three suspects described as male and Hispanic after the attack in Koreatown around 6 a.m.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of a double stabbing in the area of the 200 block of S Alexandria St, they told The Post.

A 30-year-old male victim was found dead at the scene after suffering multiple stab wounds. An unconfirmed second victim in unclear condition was taken to the hospital by a distraught family member, according to a stringer on the scene.

The Los Angeles Fire Department told The Post that their records showed no transports from the scene and the call initially came in for an unconfirmed shooting at 6:05 a.m.

Investigators told KTLA the three suspects were seen leaving the area in a white Toyota or Honda.

Footage from the area shows yellow tape around the scene with a body lying on the ground covered by a white sheet. An ambulance and a fire truck can be seen leaving the area.

The tape covers an area from Alexandria Ave from 3rd St to 2nd St and 3rd St from Kenmore Ave to Mariposa Ave, according to reports.

Multiple LAPD vehicles are also seen on site. Folded cards can be seen near pieces of evidence like a pair of glasses and a hat at the site of the stabbing. A white tent was later placed over the victim.

Two emotionally distressed people were seen hugging it out at the scene. It’s unclear how they are connected to the victims, but a stringer reported that they are family members. They also reported that homicide detectives told them the two victims stabbed are brothers.

The investigation remains ongoing.
