Rep. Thomas Massie has conceded his race in Kentucky’s fourth congressional district.
As reported earlier in the evening, Massie lost to former NAVY Seal Ed Gallrein in Tuesday’s primary election by a decisive margin.
During his concession speech, Massie said he was unable to Gallrein because he was in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv.
“Listen, I would have come out sooner but I had to call my opponent and concede and it took a while to find Ed Gallrein in Tel Aviv.”
”I have called and conceded the race. We have been honorable the whole time and we are going to stay that way.”
“Welcome to the most expensive congressional primary ever, in the 250 year history of this country.”
”It is not just the most expensive, this thing went on longer than Vietnam.”
”It started nine months ago. They didn’t even have a candidate and they decided they wanted to take me out.”

President Trump has yet to formally respond to Massie’s defeat except for posting an image on Truth Social celebrating Gallrein’s victory.
Trump had long called for Massie’s ouster after the Kentucky Republican repeatedly tried to stymie efforts to pass legislation on the grounds of his supposed libertarian principles.
In a rare post on X on Tuesday, Trump described him as a the “worst Congressman in the History of our Country.”
Horrible Congressman Thomas Massie put out an old Endorsement, from many years ago, of him by me long before I found out that he was the Worst Congressman in the History of our Country. I endorsed Ed Gallrein, a true American Patriot, which Massie knows full well, so the…

Massie’s defeat follows the crushing loss delivered to Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy, who voted to impeach Trump in the wake of the January 6th protests.
Cassidy not only lost, but he finished dead last, a humiliating outcome for a two-term incumbent.
Bill Cassidy, conceding defeat, throws shade at Donald Trump: “When you participate in democracy, sometimes it doesn’t turn out the way you want it to. But you don’t pout. You don’t whine. You don’t claim the election was stolen.”
