At least one person was killed in a shooting at Citibank’s campus outside Tampa, Florida, just after noon on Wednesday — and the gunman is also dead, according to authorities.
The victim was reported wounded and bleeding in the cafeteria of the Citibank Center, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) scanner traffic.
A gray vehicle reportedly crashed into the building moments before the shooting, before a shooter was seen carrying a shotgun and a handgun, as per scanner traffic.
The suspect is dead after what appears to be a “targeted incident,” Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said.
Sources said that the shooting is believed to have involved a vendor at the facility — not Citibank employees.
The entire building was evacuated in room-to-room sweeps by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team.
Aerial footage shows law enforcement moving through the gigantic corporate park on Wednesday afternoon, WFLA reported.
Citibank Center employees were asked to meet at a “reunification site” in a nearby parking lot in the wake of the shooting.
