A transgender convicted sex offender was sentenced to 25 years in prison after tricking underage boys into performing sex acts by showing them his fake breasts.
Joseph Downing Barnes Jr., 35, who identifies as a transgender woman, chatted online with boys as young at 10 who believed he was a woman and flashed them his chest if they exposed themselves, according to the US Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Virginia.
Barnes recorded the webcam chats and saved the files to a Google account, prosecutors said.
Google notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that one of its accounts had uploaded fifty files of suspected sexual abuse material, according to court documents obtained by the Post.
The company traced the account to Virginia Beach, and notified the Virginia Beach Police Department.
Investigators obtained a warrant for the email address “nymphiel990@gmail.com” and found the sick screen recordings showing Barnes enticing the young boys into compromising situations exchange for showing them his breasts, according to court documents.
He was indicted in March and sentenced to 25 years in prison this week.
Barnes was already a convicted sex offender, having pleaded guilty in 2016 to distributing child pornography, prosecutors said.
During the previous investigation into another pervert, police seized Barnes’ phone and found 74 videos and four images of child pornography as well as online accounts that contained additional images.
He was sentenced to 108 months in prison at the time.
