It hit all the high notes.

President Trump moved hell and high water to ensure Long Islander opera star Christopher Macchio got his moment to shine in storm-battered DC for the nation’s 250th birthday, the touted tenor told The Post.

Macchio, known as “America’s Tenor,” was set to perform on the National Mall on July 4 after nearly two hours of torrential rain and wind had already nixed planned performances from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gene Simmons and CeeLo Green.

“The White House basically reached out to me directly, and they said, ‘Christopher, we’re on our way,’ ” Macchio said, explaining the administration made it clear they were getting him on that stage.

” ‘We have a team in place to make sure that you’re where you’re meant to be so that you can perform for the country,’ ” said the tenor, who Fox host Brett Baier described Saturday as Trump’s favorite singer.

The Holbrook native, who sang “Star Spangled Banner” at Trump’s second inauguration, ended up giving proof through the night that our flag was still there.

He realized that it would be his duty to energize the thousands in the crowd before Trump gave his speech close to midnight.

The opera singer dove straight into the classics such as “Ave Maria” and “Nessun Dorma,” which he said couldn’t have been more fitting for the occasion.

” ‘Nessun Dorma’ literally means no one sleeps, and I told the crowd of 150,000 that no one sleeps tonight until we hear our president speak,” Macchio said.

The singer had the crowd accompany his rendition of “God Bless America,” too.

“You felt the patriotism in the air — you felt the sense of history and gravity,” Macchio said.

Trump was beyond grateful and personally called Macchio the next day to give his heartfelt thanks, the tenor said.

“I loved it most of all,” Macchio said the president told him of his performance.

“And he was very pleased that we were able to get so many people through security so quickly after insisting that the event go forward,” Macchio said.

“He has told me explicitly, ‘You’ve got the greatest voice I’ve ever heard,’ ” the singer said of Trump.

“He always asks me if I think I’m as good as Luciano Pavarotti.”

As if that weren’t enough, Macchio got engaged just days before heading to Washington, DC, to fiancée Sanaz while on board a yacht overlooking Positano on the Amalfi Coast of Italy.

“These have been the best two weeks of my life,” Macchio said.
