WATCH: New Jersey Anti-ICE Protesters Try to Stop Jeep with Their Bodies and Get Thrown When Driver Doesn’t Back Down

Protesters confront a vehicle at night, raising their hands in a show of resistance while wearing masks in a tense urban environment.

Two anti-ICE activists in Newark, New Jersey, stood directly in front of a Jeep leaving the Delaney Hall detention facility in an attempt to block it; instead, they were thrown to the ground when the driver did not back down.

Video of the incident shows the pair hitting the asphalt hard before their fellow protesters rush over and begin dramatically shouting for a medic.

The footage was captured and posted by independent journalist Nick Sortor, who mocked the over-the-top reaction, noting that the activists were behaving as if they had just come under attack in a war zone.

Sortor wrote:

Two anti-ICE rioters in Newark just attempted to play CHICKEN with a Jeep leaving Delaney Hall and ATE ASPHALT

These idiots never learn

And of course, their “comrades” start screaming “MEDIC!!!” like they’ve just taken artillery fire in WWII🤣🤡

The cosplay is pathetic

The incident took place amid the ongoing protests outside Delaney Hall, a large ICE detention facility in Newark.

Leftist activists have been gathering there for weeks in support of detainees who launched a hunger and labor strike over claims of poor conditions inside the facility.

Protests have repeatedly turned confrontational, with activists attempting to block vehicles entering and leaving the site.

Law enforcement has regularly responded with riot gear and made dozens of arrests since the ongoing protests began in late May.

No serious injuries were reported from the Jeep incident.

The two individuals involved appeared to get up and walk away shortly after the crowd’s dramatic “MEDIC!!!” cries.
