A dramatic, high-speed police chase ended with an armed suspect shot after crashing a stolen truck and fleeing on foot, following a fierce shootout that reportedly left a responding police officer wounded.
Wild video shows LAPD cruisers racing after the man in the Boyle Heights neighborhood before he misses a turn and smashes the blue Toyota truck into a barricade.
The clip then cuts to him opening a door and sprinting away from the vehicle before weaving in and out of parked vehicles while officers continued their pursuit.

He appears to be carrying a bag under one arm and pulls out a weapon and aims it towards the police with the other hand.
The footage emerged Tuesday afternoon following the chase, which started around 1:47 p.m. in South LA.
Officers immediately responded by opening fire and striking the suspect.

As of 2:15 p.m., the man appeared to be responsive and was taken from the scene by ambulance.
Police have not said whether the suspect fired any shots, but an officer was reportedly struck in his ballistic vest by gunfire in the incident.
The California Post reached out to the LAPD.
