The Seahawks ran the table last season, thanks to steady quarterback play from Sam Darnold, a breakout season from wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and strong defense, to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

After defying the oddsmakers, Seattle now aims to replicate the 2013-14 era by securing back-to-back Super Bowl berths.

They have 11/1 odds to repeat, which is the fourth-best on the odds board, and are +210 to win the NFC West division.

However, a familiar foe looms in the Rams, who are still reeling from a one possession loss in last season’s NFC Championship.

Los Angeles took that postseason loss personally, reloading their defense by landing blue-chip Myles Garrett and bolstering its secondary with Trent McDuffie.

Aaron Donald then pulled a Tom Brady and returned from retirement to anchor Sean McVay’s defensive unit once more.

The repeat bid for Seattle will be without foundational players Kenneth Walker III, Coby Bryant, Riq Woolen, and Boye Mafe who all exited in free agency. To make matters more difficult, offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak bolted for the head coaching vacancy in Las Vegas.

Amongst all the notable departures, seeing Walker head to the Chiefs was probably the biggest shocker, especially after his late-game heroics against the Patriots secured him Super Bowl MVP hardware.

However, the Seahawks used the 32nd overall selection in the draft to grab Jadarian Price out of Notre Dame, a physical downhill runner who has already turned heads throughout training camp.

“He’s a really special player,” Darnold told reporters after a Seahawks joint practice session in late August. “He brings a different facet to the offense that only a guy like him can bring. He can really do it all, and I know he’s just going to continue to get better and learn.”

While playing second fiddle to Jeremiyah Love in South Bend, Price still managed to account for 15 total touchdowns, showing elite burst averaging six yards per tote and a couple of house calls on kick returns.

The news of Zach Charbonnet landing on the PUP list while recovering from an ACL tear shifts the backfield landscape in Seattle, leaving a void and paving a clear path for Price to make an immediate impact.

While George Holani and Emmanuel Wilson are in line to rotate through the backfield, the Over on Price’s 6.5 rushing touchdown prop on BetMGM feels like a no-brainer.

Should Darnold continue to find success distributing the rock to Smith-Njigba, vertical threat Rashid Shaheed, and Cooper Kupp, to name a few, the Seahawks’ offense should consistently find itself in the red zone.

This will leave Price with ample opportunities to punch it in from the goal line.

The Play: Jadarian Price to record over 6.5 rushing touchdowns (-115, BetMGM)
