The Rangers will be thrust into the 2026-27 season with three games in the first four nights of the new campaign.

That includes an immediate back-to-back slate for Games 2 and 3: the Rangers’ home opener against the Lightning on Oct. 1 before a visit to Detroit for the Red Wings’ opener on Oct. 2, according to the NHL’s release of all 32 teams’ schedules Thursday.

It’s one of 11 sets of back-to-backs in the Blueshirts season, including three in January alone.

After their second lengthy offseason in a row, the Rangers will no doubt be itching to get started.
