Some fans thought Cavaliers guard Dennis Schroder should’ve read the room before sharing an Instagram carousel post soon after Cleveland’s collapse to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals Tuesday night.
Right after the Cavs blew a 22-point lead, Schroder shared a collage of photos showing him going one-on-one with Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, who scored 38 points to help the Knicks secure a 115-104 win in overtime at Madison Square Garden.
Schroder’s post, captioned “0:1,” also included a snapshot of his tunnel outfit, a black and white sweatsuit from That’s Tuff, his clothing brand.

The timing of Schroder’s post rubbed some people the wrong way on social media.
“Men used to go to war, now they post Instagram photo dumps after having one of the most embarrassing collapses in the history of the NBA,” Barstool Sports personality Jack Mac said in an Instagram video, adding that Schroder’s post came around the time the game ended, citing a screengrab.
The comments section cooked Schroder, who scored three points on 1-for-9 shooting and 1-for-4 from beyond the arc in the loss.

“Dude in the locker room posting,” one Instagram user wrote with a crying-laughing emoji.
“Bro, why are you posting this after that?” another added.
The Cavaliers played three solid quarters of before the Knicks took over late in the game.

Brunson scored 17 points as the Knicks went on a 44-11 run over the final 12:45 of the game, including overtime.
Schroder wasn’t the only one who struggled from beyond the arc.
Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell, who finished with 29 points, was 4-for-11 from three, missing all five of his shots in the final minutes of Game 1.
Cleveland veteran guard James Harden scored 15 points, but was 1-for-8 on 3-pointers and had six turnovers for Cleveland.
Game 2 is Thursday at MSG.
