Dodgers owner Mark Walter has been in sell mode in recent months.

This included him dealing the Lakers to Josh Kushner for $12.5 billion and reportedly wanting to put his Cadillac Formula 1 team up for sale for $3 billion.

The initial report of this from Sportico’s Kurt Badenhausen indicated there are at least seven interested parties for this potential F1 team purchase.

One of these involves the Red Sox, according to The Guardian’s Matt Hughes.

Specifically, one of these interested parties is FSG, which holds majority ownership stakes in the Red Sox and the Penguins’ NHL franchise.

FSG has a lot of money to spend after selling 38% of Liverpool to a consortium that included Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin this past summer.

Walter sold his 13% stake in Premier League club Chelsea and is reportedly looking to sell the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks franchise for $700 million.

Despite this, Walter has been clear about having no intention to sell the Dodgers, as he told the California Post last week.

Walter selling his F1 team is not guaranteed, nor is a potential sale to the Red Sox’s majority owners.
