Enes Kanter calls for A’ja Wilson suspension after wild fan interaction, brings receipts

Former NBA star Enes Kanter Freedom continues to insert himself into WNBA politics.

On Wednesday, he called out A’Ja Wilson and this time he came with receipts.

The former NBA player took to social media to discuss the matter, citing the WNBA’s own rules to show how Wilson violated them when she approached a Fever fan that she took exception with her near the baseline of the court.

“What a drama queen! A’ja Wilson should be suspended immediately, along with every teammate who followed her into the stands. She left the court, walked into the baseline seats, and confronted a fan,” Kanter wrote in a post on X.

“@WNBA Rule 12A is clear: if a player deliberately enters the stands during a game, they are automatically ejected. The Fever investigated the fan and determined he did NOT violate their Fan Code of Conduct. Hey Aja, You’re the face of the league.

“@WNBA. Control your emotions or face the consequences. Rules are rules. Apply them. #WNBA“

Wilson spoke about the altercation with the fan after Tuesday’s game.

“If I see a man come at me, taking steps toward me and pointing at me, I don’t give a damn what you said. I don’t give a damn how you said it, the tone, that is unacceptable,” Wilson said after the game. “You don’t know me to step toward me and point at me. I’m not for that s–t at all. … That there is unacceptable. How he gets back in the game because they said he didn’t do anything, of course he did.”

It appears she was unhappy about the fan pointing at her after she got tangled up with Fever star Sophie Cunningham, who was knocked over. Wilson later received a technical foul.

It didn’t take long for Cunningham to then chime in, taking a jab at Wilson as well.

The Fever and Aces face off in a decisive Game 3 on Thursday with tensions slated to be as high as ever in the first-round playoff series.
