It’s been by far the most intense opening-round playoff series in the “W,” and now it comes down to a decisive Game 3 in Las Vegas.
A’ja Wilson and the Aces aim to fend off a feisty Fever squad, with a spot in the WNBA semifinals on the line.
Caitlin Clark and Indiana stood tall Tuesday night in Game 2, responding with a 99-89 win to even the series.
In this win-or-go-home contest, Wilson and the reigning champions enter as 3.5-point favorites and -168 on the moneyline.
Fever vs. Aces prediction, best bets
The Fever enter Game 3 with momentum on their side and, more importantly, two double-digit wins against the Aces on their home floor in the regular season.
In early July, Indiana took both games in Vegas, one by 16 points and the other by 34.
Wilson and Clark each sat out one of those contests, and, of course, the playoffs are a different ballgame.

However, Indiana clearly has some stylistic advantages to keep the Aces on their heels.
I wouldn’t be shocked to see the Fever cover the spread, but I expect Las Vegas to reach the next round.
The Fever’s high-scoring backcourt of Clark and Kelsey Mitchell has taken the leap this season, but it comes down to how well Aliyah Boston and Indiana’s frontcourt decide to guard Wilson.

The four-time MVP and three-time champion is fresh off a controversial dialogue with a fan, and while the fan may have won the battle, the wrath of war Wilson may unleash in this elimination game is unimaginable.
Her ability to take over games is otherworldly, and in two elimination contests during the Aces’ title run last season, Wilson averaged 36.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists on 50-50-89 shooting splits.
Oh, and did I mention 3.5 steals and 3 blocks for good measure?
Wilson’s points prop of 27.5 seems a bit low, so I’m taking the Over. Another angle is Vegas on the first-quarter moneyline, as they’ve won the first quarter in both games of this series.
Ultimately, Clark and the Fever may have enough to get over the hump, but Wilson and the experienced Aces somehow always find a way to win.
The Plays: A’ja Wilson Over 27.5 points (-128, FanDuel) | Aces 1st Quarter winner (-125, BetMGM)
