Once a Giant, barely a Giant for Daniel Faalele.
The Giants traded Faalele to the Jaguars for a 2027 late-round draft pick, The Post confirmed.
After signing a one-year, $1.4 million free-agent contract to follow head coach John Harbaugh from the Ravens to the Giants, Faalele was the second-team left guard throughout training camp.
The trade leaves the Giants with $187,000 in dead salary-cap space, while freeing up $500,000 and opening up a spot on the 53-man roster.
Maybe now the Giants can keep former first-round draft bust Evan Neal. Or former third-round draft bust Josh Ezeudu, who has been taking more snaps at guard — at long last — after a failed three-year experiment as a tackle.

There should be three spots available to decide between the quintet of Neal, Ezeudu, Aaron Stinnie, Bryan Hudson and Lucas Patrick as backups alongside tackles Marcus Mbow and J.C. Davis.
The Jaguars were short offensive linemen after Patrick Mekari underwent back surgery and joined Cole Van Lanen, Chuma Edoga, Wyatt Milum and Geron Christian on the shelf.
The target reportedly was to beef up the front, and the 6-foot-7, 380-pound former fourth-round pick certainly fits the bill.
Faalele started all 34 games over the last two seasons for the Ravens and became a target of fan ire because Harbaugh continually defended him through struggles.
He played 13 offensive snaps and two special teams snaps during the preseason opener.
“They have depth on the offensive line for the first time in a long time,” NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger told The Post just hours before the trade. “And a good starting five.”
The Giants added an undisclosed sixth pick in the 2027 draft to their existing capital of a first-, second-, third-, fifth- and sixth-rounders.
The trade is reminiscent of August 2024, when the Giants sent defensive tackle Jordan Phillips — who was on the roster bubble — to the Cowboys in a pick swap.
