Good Good Golf’s next president and CEO will need to be better better.

CEO Matt Kendrick and president Joe Flannery are out of their roles with the embattled golf brand in the latest twist from the fallout of the controversial ad that the golf brand created with Callaway Golf, Business Insider first reported

Nahid Giga will step in as the interim CEO of the company.

The full Good Good driver video was actually 60 seconds long, and it seems like it was meant to be some sort of horror-movie spoof? It’s still viewable in some posts. (Here’s most of it:) pic.twitter.com/UBhUmKBQZY

In a memo sent out by Alex Puchala, the departures were described as decisions made by both men.

“This is a difficult day for the entire Good Good family,” the memo read. “Matt helped build something extraordinary that exceeded all expectations and continues to bring countless new fans to the sport. What began as a small group of friends playing golf is now a growing global community.

“To ensure stability through this transition, Nahid Giga, Good Good co-founder and one of our first investors, will step in as interim CEO, effective immediately. Garrett (Clark) and the creator team will keep doing what they do best, making great content and engaging our fans who are eager to see and hear from us. I will remain COO and CFO, and will continue to oversee day-to-day operations.”

The memo ended with Puchala writing, “We remain focused on moving forward and building the next chapter of the company.”

The controversy erupted after Good Good released an ad to promote a driver collaboration with Callaway. Clark was shown running toward a female member of the brand, Alexis Miestowski, and pretending to shove her to the ground.

The shakeup comes less than a week after the brand pulled its sponsorship from a PGA event.

The ad was taken down from both Good Good and Callaway’s social media channels, and both brands have had to release multiple statements apologizing for it.

Good Good saw its products pulled from the shelves of multiple retailers, and it pulled out of sponsoring a PGA Tour event in Austin, Texas, in November.
