The Warriors had been outscored by 21 points during Al Horford’s minutes when the veteran big man took the floor for his final stint to begin the fourth quarter.

At the time, Horford had two points in 16 minutes and had missed all three of his attempts from 3.

What followed helped the Warriors secure a 126-121 win over the Clippers in their play-in game Wednesday night — and led to Steve Kerr praising Horford for “one of the most difficult things to do in sports.”

Horford went from the brickyard to the craft store — nothing but net on all four of his 3-point attempts as the Warriors closed a double-digit fourth-quarter deficit.

His fourth 3 of the quarter gave Golden State its first lead since early in the second quarter, 117-115, with 2:12 to play. The Warriors outscored the Clippers by 14 during Horford’s fourth-quarter minutes.

“When you’re having a rough night through three quarters, to just flip it and all of a sudden start draining shots and making defensive plays,” Kerr said. “He completely turned his own performance around. … When it was Al’s turn to come in, the way he flipped the switch from what was a cold night to knocking down all those shots – a big 3 to give us the lead. Al was absolutely brilliant.”
