The Packers had all the ingredients ready for a Week 1 win.

Vikings starting QB Kyler Murray threw an interception on his first pass in purple and gold, then exited soon after with a concussion, forcing backup Carson Wentz into the game.

Packers starter Jordan Love threw for nearly 200 yards with two touchdowns in an excellent first half.

But it all somehow, almost inexplicably, slipped away.

Green Bay scored just three points in the second half as Minnesota stormed back with a 39-22 win on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.

After Green Bay extended its lead to 22-10 with a third-quarter field goal, the Vikings rallied with 29 straight points — 22 of which came in the final quarter.

On their first three possessions in the fourth quarter, the Packers turned the ball over on downs after an eight-play drive, turned it over on a Love fumble and gave it away again after Love threw his first interception of the season.

Meanwhile, Wentz — thrust into the quarterback role after Murray threw just five passes — threw two touchdowns in the second half and three for the game.

Love did throw for 387 yards, but it was all for naught in a disastrous loss for Green Bay to start the season.

The Packers — the lone NFC North team to lose this week — will get their next chance to grab a win on the road in Week 2 against the Jets.
