Detroit Lions (-7) over MIAMI DOLPHINS
The Lions have won three straight games and should be able to extend that streak comfortably against a Dolphins team that has struggled on both sides of the ball.
Detroit ranks third in the NFL in scoring (29 points per game) and first in total offense (395.4 yards per game).
After producing just 39 combined points in narrow victories over two tough defenses, the Packers and Vikings, Jared Goff should have a much easier assignment Sunday.
Miami ranks dead last in yards allowed per pass attempt (7.9) while opposing quarterbacks have completed a league-high 76.9 percent of their passes against them with just nine sacks.
That’s an inviting matchup for Goff, who has thrown 15 touchdowns against just one interception this season.
The Dolphins’ lone victory wasn’t particularly impressive, either.
They nearly squandered a 21-7 halftime lead against the struggling Jets in Week 7, escaping with a 28-25 win.
Miami could have just as much trouble moving the ball against Detroit.

The Lions have been solid against the run, allowing just 96.6 rushing yards per game, the ninth-fewest in the league.
That’s concerning for a Dolphins offense that has relied heavily on its ground game since Ollie Gordon II took over after De’Von Achane’s season-ending injury.

Gordon has been productive, rushing for 408 yards and four touchdowns, but quarterback Malik Willis has struggled, completing just 59 percent of his passes with six touchdowns and five interceptions.
If Detroit can contain Gordon and force Willis to win through the air, Miami could struggle to keep pace with this high-powered offense.
2026 record: 2-6
Last week: 0-1 (Browns L)
