Myles Garrett goes Hollywood in recent movie announcement

From the gridiron to the big screen, Los Angeles Rams defensive end Myles Garrett is embracing the Hollywood culture.

Garrett has teamed up with Paramount Pictures to help promote the film Heart of the Beast, which will feature his German Shepherd dog, Bojji.

In the video, Garrett is seen out in an open field in California playing fetch using a tree branch with Bojji, while his voice narrates over the trailer, speaking about similarities the two share with the movie’s main character, James Belmont, who will be played by Brad Pitt.

“In Heart of the Beast, James and Oden [Bojji’s character] have an incredibly strong bond, and I feel I have something similar with Bojji,” Garrett said. “As simple as greeting me every time I come to the door, or waking me up in the morning and always sticking by my side.”

“That means the world to me. That’s special enough, regardless of what happens on the field, you know, having those moments with him.”

Garrett went on to say he feels similar to how “James” feels in the movie, as Bojji is all he has, calling him his “best friend” and his “ride or die.”

Heart of the Beast is considered a survival thriller movie and features Pitt’s character and Oden being stranded in a snow-covered forest in Alaska after a devastating plane crash, leaving them forced to find their way back to civilization on their own.

Anna Lambe, who has been in films such as “The Grizzlies” and “Dusk & Dawn,” plays the character Amber, while J.K. Simmons will play the character “Walter Boone.”

The film is set to release later this month on September 25.

For Garrett, seeing his dog shine on the big screen just might be the perfect distraction for him after having a disappointing Rams debut last week, sparking concerns over his injured knee.

On Sunday, it was announced that Garrett would be landing on the Rams’ injured reserve, forcing him to miss a minimum of four games and undergo arthroscopic knee surgery. Head coach Sean McVay told reporters on Monday that he has no timeline for when he will return.
