Eight NFL teams will have some new uniforms this season, and to help unveil them this week, the league enlisted Randy Moss and a host of other superstars.
Squads in the AFC South and the NFC North were picked to be participants in this year’s “Rivalries” program, and all of the new threads were shown off to the teams’ fanbases on Tuesday morning.
Moss, who recently battled cancer, threw on the Vikings’ updated purple and gold jersey to introduce it to Minnesota, accessorizing the piece with a pair of sunglasses.
Lions wideout Jameson Williams, Packers quarterback Jordan Love, Texans receiver Nico Collins and Colts cornerback Sauce Gardner also participated in a campaign to make NFL fans aware of the new attire.
Each uniform has a special homage to the community of the participating team, the NFL said in a statement.
The Packers have “stock certificate-inspired details woven into the numbers and sleeves” to highlight their fan ownership. The Vikings, meanwhile, reference the Gjallarhorn in theirs.
The Texans’ chrome finishes were “inspired by the city’s custom car scene,” while the Titans have “neon-inspired numbers and guitar/amplifier-inspired striping,” the NFL said.
The league first launched the “Rivalries” program in 2025 with teams from the NFC West and AFC East getting the special treatment. They were a huge success, with a rep for Fanatics calling them its “best-selling merchandise release to date,” in a press release.
All of the teams in the AFC South and NFC North will wear their new uniforms during one home game against a divisional rival later this season. Those who participated in the 2025 program will don theirs again for a select regular season home game as well.
More teams will be added to the program in 2027 and 2028, the league said.
Fans will be able to purchase the jerseys beginning on Sept. 1 at various retail locations, including Fanatics.com.
