Donnie Freeman, one of the top players left in the transfer portal who has an NBA ceiling, verbally committed to joining the Johnnies.
The 6-foot-9 Freeman visited Kentucky last week. The SEC power was supposed to be the heavy leader after visits to Connecticut and Alabama were called off. But St. John’s got into the picture over the weekend and landed the coveted forward. Freeman, a Washington, D.C. native, will take a visit to Queens shortly.
