ANAHEIM, Calif. — Is this it, or just another tease?
Because over the past few weeks, Jazz Chisholm Jr. has looked more like the impact player he has the talent to be than perhaps during any other stretch in what has been a mostly disappointing season.
But if it is real, and continues down the stretch into October instead of flaming out again, it has a chance to not just salvage Chisholm’s season but give the Yankees a major lift, too.
“We need it,” manager Aaron Boone said after Chisholm’s three-hit night Tuesday in a win over the Angels.
