Look, as bad as we’ve had it around here, we haven’t gone through what Buffalo has gone through. The last time that fair city by the Erie Canal won a major league championship was Dec. 26, 1965, when the Bills beat the Chargers at old War Memorial Stadium — “the Rockpile” — 20-7. The Bills have bruised Buffalo’s heart many times since. The Sabres have bloodied it.
