Will Cuylle very quickly became a key player for the Rangers.
Each year since his four-game cameo during the 2022-23 season, his role had grown. Between his ability to establish himself as a full-time NHLer almost right away and the Blueshirts’ roster turnover, Cuylle has become a multi-faceted contributor in just his third full NHL season.
The increased responsibility was a necessity, but also deserved — especially after Cuylle was one of the few Rangers to take positive steps in his game last season.
The 24-year-old, however, did not maximize the opportunity to his standards this season.
