Restart the clock for a possible George Lombard Jr. sighting in The Bronx.
The Yankees’ top prospect has re-entered the radar, activated by Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre before Friday’s game after missing about a month with a pair of sprained fingers on his glove hand.
Prior to the injury, Lombard had begun to do what he had done at Double-A Somerset: bounce back from a slow start and show signs he was about to conquer the level.
In his first 15 games with SWB after a late April promotion, he was hitting .127 with seven hits, all singles.
