The Post’s Brian Costello and Paul Schwartz look at what the Jets and Giants could do on the second day — Rounds 2-3 — of the 2026 NFL Draft on Friday night.
The Jets
The Jets only have one pick on Friday after trading the No. 33 pick to move back into the first round. They have pick No. 44 in the second round.
It would make sense for them to take a defensive back — either a cornerback or safety. Brandon Cisse, A.J. Haulcy or Treydan Stukes would all make sense.
They also could address guard with Chase Bisontis and Emmanuel Pregnon still on the board.
The Giants
The way the first round tumbled out, there was no great opportunity for the Giants to take a defensive tackle, wide receiver or cornerback, positions they would like to upgrade.
Receivers Carnell Tate and Jordyn Tyson were off the board and there were no defensive tackles rated high enough to go in the top 10.
With no trades on Day 1, the Giants go into Friday with only one pick — No. 37 overall, high in the second round.
There is a chance the Giants trade down from that spot, as they would like to gain a third round pick — if they can find a trade partner.
CB Jermod McCoy, WR Denzel Boston and DT Kayden McDonald are all Day 2 values.
