PORTLAND, Ore. — There was one clear, though not readily available, fix for the Liberty’s disorganized start to Thursday’s game.

Sabrina Ionescu.

The Liberty opened the season without Ionescu after she injured her left foot in the team’s final preseason game. An MRI exam the following day showed that she avoided significant injury, but the lead guard was still sidelined for two weeks.

Ionescu is due to be reevaluated early next week. The hope is she’ll be in the lineup for the Liberty’s next game Thursday against the Golden State Valkyries.
