The Yankees will have a fresh bullpen arm for the Astros series that begins Tuesday.

The club is planning to call up veteran reliever Justin Topa, The Post’s Joel Sherman reported, for what would be the righty’s team debut.

The Yankees made space on the active roster by optioning Brendan Beck during Monday’s off day and will need to create a spot on the 40-man roster, too, for Topa. Sending Beck down appears to eliminate him from contention for a start Wednesday, when the Yankees have not announced a starter. The Yankees could opt for a bullpen game or call up Elmer Rodríguez, who has been pitching well with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Topa is a Binghamton native and LIU Brooklyn product who has pitched in 172 major league games over seven seasons with the Brewers, Mariners and Twins.

The 35-year-old struggled with Minnesota this season (allowing 17 earned runs in 19 innings) before being released in May. He signed minor league deals with the Blue Jays and Royals, both of whom released him before he made it back to the majors.

The Yankees took a flier on Topa on Aug. 14, and he has allowed one earned run in five innings with SWB.
