Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren insisted the crazed anti-Israel goon who ambushed her on a London street and branded her an “evil Zionist b—h” was either unstable or just a “little over-passionate.”
The 80-year-old Hollywood legend, a longtime supporter of Israel, believes she was attacked by mistake after a resurfaced video showed her being accosted by the irate thug while walking in an East London neighborhood with her acclaimed husband, Taylor Hackford, in November.
Mirren told Variety she was “attacked by mistake by a man who was maybe a little over-passionate or maybe mentally not quite stable.”
In the shocking clip, the hateful agitator screamed: “There is Helen Mirren, the avowed Zionist. You said Israel should last forever because of the Holocaust.”
Hackford, an Oscar-winning director, snapped back, “F–k off” before the man shouted, “You’re an evil Zionist b—h.”
The actress, who previously said she believes in the “existence of Israel,” clarified her position on the Jewish state while warning people to be careful about what they read and see online.
“Evil forces are rising everywhere, even in a country like Israel,” said Mirren, who controversially played the nation’s first female prime minister, Golda Meir, in the 2023 film “Golda.”
“How could you possibly repeat the actions of what was done to you as people to other people?” she added, seemingly referencing the Holocaust and the war in Gaza.

Mirren — who first visited Israel in 1967 shortly after the Six-Day War — praised the country’s artistic and intellectual community, calling it “so remarkable.”
She then told the outlet the Holocaust was “so profound” and significant to Israel’s creation.
“Therefore, the creation of Israel was a very important moment, although maybe it was done in completely the wrong way, in the wrong place, I don’t know,” she continued.
“But something had to happen after the horror.”
Mirren was among 2,000 celebs and entertainment chiefs who signed an open letter condemning Hamas’ atrocities committed on Oct. 7, 2023.
