This is the shocking moment water appears to leak from the roof of a luxurious Emirates plane onto passengers below.
Footage appears to show water dripping from the ceiling inside the Airbus A380 as distressed travellers were left with no choice but to remain in their seats.
Flight EK123 was travelling for almost five hours from Dubai to Istanbul on September 17, when the incident occurred.
Some passengers were seen using large pieces of cloth to cover themselves as the water continued to pour mid-flight.
Passenger Hsin Ying Chang said water began pouring from the ceiling shortly after takeoff, soaking her “like a waterfall.”
“The cabin crew offered no explanation or apology,” Ms Chang claimed.
“The foreign passenger sitting next to me was moved to a seat at the front, while we Taiwanese passengers were placed in row 52 near the galley.
“There was no TV or other equipment, and all I could do was sit facing the wall.”
She said the experience “completely changed” her view of the popular airline.
Flight-tracking data show the aircraft departed from Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3 at 11:14 a.m. and landed at Istanbul Airport in Turkey at 2:16 p.m. local time.
The cause of the leakage remains unclear.
Water dripping from ceiling panels on commercial aircraft is uncommon but can occur when condensation from the air-conditioning system accumulates.
Emirates has previously dealt with condensation-related water drips on other flights.
On flight EK12 from London Gatwick in November 2025, the airline confirmed that a small build-up of condensation had caused water to drip onto a row of passengers after landing.
