Persian movie features scene with Trump lookalike dancing YMCA

A movie scene of a young Donald Trump lookalike doing his signature YMCA dance to Iranian pop music has been circulating in the war-torn country.

It’s built around a long-running — but debunked — rumor President Trump visited Iran before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, to buy the historic Ramsar Hotel and open a casino, according to Iran International.

The scene is from “Tehran 57,” a comedy set in Tehran during the late 1970s, released in December.

In the scene, the fictional Trump first appears to say no to an invite to dance to the tune of Iranian pop singer Hassan Shamaizadeh’s “After You,” before putting down his briefcase, and popping his signature YMCA-style arm bounce.

The film is about Iranians getting involved in an investment project backed by wealthy American businessmen and portrays the energy and style of pre-revolution Tehran.

In recent months, some Iranians have been doing Trump’s YMCA move to celebrate the US strikes that took out Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The photo that sparked the long-standing rumor the skit appears inspired by was actually taken in Atlantic City in 1988, and there is no evidence Trump traveled to the country.
